Thane (Maharashtra) : Ahimsa Sangh will be organizing ‘Mahasabha’ on 30th May in Bhiwandi, where there are highest number of slaughter-houses, to pursue their demand of passing Bill banning cow-slaughter in whole of Maharashtra. Activists of ‘Maharashtra Gou-vansh Raksha Samiti’ are working hard under the guidance of a revolutionary in this field, Pujya Munishri Vinamrasagarji Maharaj for maximum participation of people from all over the State, who believe in non-violence. H.B.P. Santosh Maharaj Sabale held a press conference in this context at Bhiwandi (Thane Dist.) in which Mahant Kondiram Maharaj was felicitated on behalf of Warakari Sampradaya. H.B.P. Santosh Maharaj Sabale said that billions of people in this country are demanding that Bill should be passed for banning cow-slaughter. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had also strived for protection of cows and we too have to make attempts like him for protection of cows. In the forthcoming Assembly session, the State Government will have to implement the Act prohibiting cow-slaughter. If this Act is not passed, the present State Government will meet the same fate as that of the earlier Central Government through people of Maharashtra. The State Government, exporting beef by trampling sentiments of people of Maharashtra, will definitely get punished and this huge ‘sabha’ has been organized at Bhiwandi on 30th May just to tell this to the Government. All ‘Gou-premis (patrons of cow)’ and devout Hindus should attend this ‘Mahasabha’ in large numbers.
