Outcome of awareness created by activists of HJS !

Pune (Maharashtra) : Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) had fixed tiles with pictures of Hindu Deities near the gate of building where its branch is located in ‘Appa Balawant Chowk’, in staircase of this building and near its wash-rooms; but after awareness was created by activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), the tiles have been removed by IOB. (Hindus should offer gratitude at God’s feet for this success ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

1. HJS activists noticed that tiles with pictures of Hindu Deities were fixed in the staircase so as to prevent people from spitting.

2. On 16th May, delegation of HJS met the manager of IOB branch and explained to him about denigration of Deities by such misuse of Deities’ pictures and how it was adding to our sins.

3. The Manager informed that residents of housing society where the branch was located were against removal of the tiles; therefore, HJS activists met the Chairman Lokhande of this Society in this connection who said that God is everywhere and he had no objection to removing of tiles provided the place was redone and painted after removal else it would look bad. (Owing to lack of Dharma-shikshan, Hindus thus pass on the responsibility of removing tiles with Deities pictures on each other. It is, therefore, necessary to impart Dharma-shikshan to Hindus. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

4.  Shri. Vidyadhar Joshi, a devout Hindu attending ‘Dharma-shikshan’ classes wrote a letter to IOB’s Mumbai Branch protesting against the issue of tiles. (Congratulations to Shri. Vidyadhar Joshi for trying to stop harm caused to Dharma ! People like him are real strength of Hindu Dharma ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) IOB took immediate note of the letter and promised to remove the tiles with Deities’ pictures.

5. All staff of this branch was also in favour of removal of the said tiles.

6. Shri. Parag Gokhale, Pravin Karve of HJS and devout Hindus attending Dharma-shikshan classes like Shri. Dheeraj Bhanage, Shri. Arun Saraf, Shri. Jayant Lakhmare, Shri. Jaideep Neelparna etc. had joined the drive. It was observed on 19th May that all tiles with Deities’ pictures were removed.
