Jalgaon (Maharashtra) : Local residents of Shirsoli make a resolve to close down slaughter-house !

Magh Krushnapaksha 9/10, Kaliyug Varsha 5115

Now, we will not allow bloodshed of cows; we will make Jalgaon District free of slaughter-houses; do not commit ‘Dharma-droha’ of being a silent spectator of cow-slaughter !

Cow (Gou-mata), an abode of 33 crores Deities, is a seat of worship of Hindus ! There are 33,600 slaughter-houses in the country at present in which slaughter of cows/ cattle takes place. In 1947, there were 90 crore cows in the country and the number has now come down to just one crore. Out of 128 sepcies of cows then, there are only 18 species found now. O Hindus ! Do not watch such ‘Dharma-haani (damage caused to Dharma)’ silently ! It is also against Dharma.Come forward for protection of cows and perform your duty towards Dharma ! Under clauses 5 & 6 of ‘Maharashtra Animals Protection Act, 1976’, cow-slaughter is prohibited. Complaint about the same can be lodged even anonymously.

Cows insecure in the land of ‘Kanha’ !

On Jalgaon – Shirsoli Road, a slaughter –house is being run in the area of Mohadi village for last few years. It is located near ‘Sant- Nirankari Ashram’; opposite Raysoni Engineering College. By constructing the slaughter-house where ‘Gou-mata’ and ‘Gou-vansh (Cows/ cattle) revered by Hindus, are brutally slaughtered with ‘Satsang- Bhavan’ on one side and Saraswati Temple on the other; it is resulting in hurting religious sentiments of Hindus and has enraged people. This slaughter-house has been given on contract by Jalgaon Municipal Corporation (JMC). Many organizations, Saints, pro-Hindu activists have opposed to this slaughter-house on number of occasions and it has been always in glare of publicity.

Administration has disregarded all rules !

In 2009, Nashik Pollution Control Board had issued a ‘show cause’ notice to JMC for why the slaughter-house should not be closed down. Then, it was shown as closed down on paper; but slaughtering of animals is going on in illegally misleading Hindus. Whenever Muslims get cows/ cattle, illegal slaughter takes place after 8.00 p.m. and before 5.00 a.m. On 23rd February 2009, it was the auspicious day of 'Mahashivaratri’ when 2 truck-loads of cows were slaughtered on that day. The slaughter-house is closed officially; but one finds fresh blood of cows, pieces of flesh and ropes used in the neck of cows strewn all over the place.

Harmful from the viewpoint of environment and social health !

The above slaughter-house is adjacent to a very crowded area. There is hustle bustle owing to a college, hostel and ‘Satsang Bhavan’ in the area and thousands of citizens must be visiting or passing by the area. In this slaughter-house, flesh of animals rots. After slaughtering of animals, it is mandatory to dispose of the remaining pieces of animals in a certain manner as per clause 33 of Prevention and control of Pollution of water and air of Pollution Control Board; but no attention is paid to any of the rules and regulations; therefore, the stink spreads over 5 km area and passers by have to cover their nose. Sewage water mixed with cows blood is released without any processing creating health problems. The problem has become more serious due to the students hostel next to the slaughter-house.

Administration indifferent despite opposition from Society !

In the annual conference held by ‘Akhil Bharateeya Sant Samiti (ABSS), Maharashtra Zone’, a resolution was passed in 2010 for closing of this slaughter-house. ABSS, Amalner submitted representations to Sant-Nirankari satsang Bhavan, Gulabrao Devkar Engineering College, local residents’ committees, Shiv Sena and other political parties so also to Indian Animals Welfare Board on this subject.

Who is behind all this ?

How the slaughter-house is still operated despite opposition at all levels? Why do police and Administration get cold feet to take action against the slaughter-house ? Why is silence maintained over the issue ? Is there no value for faith of majority of Hindus ? Who is the supporter of this slaughter-house ? It is a mystery to all Hindus.

Valiant warriors of Shivaji, follow his footsteps and join this Dharmakarya !

Jalgaon Kanhadesh ! We will not allow the brutal slaughter of our revered Gou mata on this land which has borne witness to Shri Ram and Shri Krushna ! The government should immediately shrug off its lethargy ! It should initiate stringent action in this case and respect the sentiments of Hindus ! The hindus have come together for this cause. The resolutions passed in the historic Jalgaon Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha (of 26th Jan) has woken the Hindu valour ! The Dharmapremi and Goupremi people are now ready ! The entire district is getting ready to witness agitations. Valiant warriors of Shivaji, follow his footsteps and join this Dharmakarya !

No more of Goumata's blood will be shed, slaughter houses of Jalgaon will all be ousted !
