Observations made by an advocate about judicial process related to cow-slaughter cases and pressure tactics used by Hindu advocates and Muslims
Hindu advocates get bail for accused in cow-slaughter cases
When a ‘Gou-premi (cow-protectors)’ nabs persons involved in cow-slaughter, Hindu advocates only take up such case and fighting for accused, procure even bail for them. At such time, we can advise organization of legal practitioners that nobody should take up such cases.
There is not a single animal-shed for protection of cow and cattle in Ratnagiri and Sindhu-durga district !
As per law, police should send cows/ cattle confiscated by them to animal-sheds for their protection; however, there is not a single such shed in Ratnagiri and Sindhdurga district; therefore, accused file petition in the court and take possession of cows and cattle. (Gou-premis should force the Government to build sheds for keeping cows/ cattle for their protection. Owing to the indifference of Government, many species of Indian cow are on the verge of extinction. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
Pressure tactics used by Muslims !
In such type of cases, pro-Hindu activists do not follow up cases till the end; whereas Muslims go to Court and attend every hearing; they also take 4-5 Muslims with them.
One or two Muslims go to Court every day; because if some Muslim accused is brought from outside, he can get immediate legal aid, bail and other things. (How many Hindus help their brethren in such manner ?- Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
If any Muslim accused is to go abroad, another Muslim is taken up as an accused replacing the first Muslim accused
Sometimes, a Muslim accused is to go abroad; at that time, another Muslim is brought as his replacement. In such case if the complainant is present, he can bring it to the notice of government pleader. It is a big offence to replace main accused with another. In such case, advocate fighting for accused can lose his license to work as a pleader.
