O Hindus ! Offer gratitude unto Holy feet of Shri Krushna for this success !

Pune (Maharashtra) : Hoardings displaying denigration of Deity Brahmadev and advertisement of proposed housing complex were put up all over Pimpri-Chinchwad area. On these hoardings, Deity Brahmadev was depicted as saying, ‘Every one has some desires, so do I.’ On realizing that such advertisements are causing denigration of Deity, alert devout Hindus voiced their united opposition and forced the advertiser to remove picture of Deity Brahmadev from hoarding. (Congratulations to devout Hindus of Pimpri for taking effective steps in preventing denigration of Deities ! If such united efforts are made for prevention of harm caused to Dharma, the day ofestablishment of Hindu Rashtra is not far ! – Editor, Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’)

1. Shri. Sandip Bhelsaikar, a proud Hindu, was the first person to notice the denigration.

2. On 26th September, Shri. Sandip Bhelsaikar, Suresh Landage, and other activists met Vaibhav Afzalpurkar, who had erected the hoardings for advertisement. He was informed that it was inappropriate to personify Deities , and he was also given to understand that it is a cognizable offence under IPC to hurt religious sentiments.

3. Afzalpurkar said that he had spent a lot of money over those advertisements. He was told by the devout Hindus that the spiritual harm thus caused is much more serious than the financial loss, and efforts were made to make him understand importance of preventing denigration. (Why do the artists not realise that a beautiful piece of art can still be produced even without making derogatory use of Deities ? Would the artistsdenigrating Deities for the purpose of financial gains, use pictures of seats of faith of non-Hindus ? If they do so, they know it would cost them dearly. Isn’t there any value for  religious sentiments of Hindus that Hindu Deities are denigrated so easily ? – Editor, Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’)

4. However, Afzalpurkar continued his indifference towards Dharma and did not carry out any change in the advertisement even after 2 days.

5. When Shri. Dilip Sawant and Shri. Yuvraj Gokhale of Shiv Sena learnt about the incident, they told Afzalpurkar overphone to remove such denigrating picture. In this matter, Advocate Pravin Sarjile also assisted them.

6. Shri Gokhale gave a memorandum to Shri. Shahaji Umap, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Zone 3, stating that the police administration would be responsible for the consequences if no action was taken against the concerned person for hurtingreligious sentiments. (Prompt action taken by Shiv Sainiks against the incident causing harm to Dharma and preventing such harm is inspiring. – Editor, Daily ‘Sanatan Prabhat’)

7. Due to the aggressive stance taken by devout Hindus, on 29th September, kar removed picture of Shri Brahmadev from advertisement.
