Mumbai : The proposed anti-superstitions Bill, that Maharashtra Government is trying to pass, will attack the foundation of Hindu Dharma. Many Warkaris and organizations have been fighting against this Act and they want to discuss, in detail, the proposed Act with the Chief Minister (CM).  CM, Pruthviraj Chavan should give them time for such discussions, was the demand made by Shri. Subhash Desai, the group leader of Shiv Sena in Legislative Assembly and senior MLA, by writing a letter to him.

Meeting will be attended by MLAs

It has been stated further in the letter written by Shri. Subhash Desai that ‘Maharashtra Warkari Prabodhan Samiti, Rashtreeya Warkari Sena and other organizations had staged agitations at Azad Maidan, Mumbai to protest against the proposed anti-superstitions Act when they gave representation of demands to many elected representatives; therefore, the CM can fix time and date for the meeting and inform me and the concerned. That meeting will be attended by few MLAs along with Warkaris.’

Despite giving letter on 18th March, CM not inviting for meeting !

Shri. Subhash Desai has sent letters to the CM on 18th March and 3rd April seeking time for meeting ; but the CM has not sent any reply to the letter of 18th March even after two weeks. On the other hand, Maharashtra Government has been holding meetings with atheist organizations and has been considering suggestions given by them but has not been inviting religious organizations even to attend such meeting.

Organizations who are interested in attending the meeting

Along with the letter dated 3rd April 2013, representations by all Sampradayas and organizations with related papers, which are self-explanatory, have also been sent to the CM. Among the organizations interested in taking part in the meeting with CM are Rashtreeya Warkari Sena, Maharashtra Warkari Probodhan Mahasamiti, Maharashtra Rajya Warkari Mahamandal, Maharashtra Rajya Warkari Prbodhan Mandal, Konkan Paya Dindi, Aditya Vahini, Patanjali Yoga Sampradaya, Gurudwara Samiti, Veer-Shaiv Lingayat Samaj, Hindu Mahasabha, Jain Samaj Jewelers’ Association, Keraliya Kendriya Kshetra-paripalan Samiti, Republican Party of India, Madhavacharya Sampradaya, Sree Sampradaya, Maharashtra Mandir and Dharmik Sanstha Mahasangha, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Ranaragini, Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad, Sanatan Sanstha, ISKON, Art of Living and Gayatri Parivar so also many Saints and Mahants.
