‘Flash Mob’ directionless and ineffective !

Pune (Maharashtra) : Inhuman rape case in Delhi, incidents of oppression of women taking place frequently, rulers’ indifferent stand towards such incidents; besides their wasting breath by only promising to do many things for people ! To express their anger against all the above things, youth from Pune got together on Republic Day at Mahatma Gandhi Road and performed a ‘Flash Mob’ and disappeared.

‘Flash Mob’

The basic concept behind ‘Flash Mob’ is taken from western countries. The meaning of it is to come together for a while and dance on the roads. The persons, who take part in dance, suddenly come, dance and disappear also suddenly. Although the purpose of youth dancing on M G Road was good, the path undertaken (or danced) by them was contemporary; but will creating such chaos on the road, create awareness? It is doubtful that how many of the viewers could know the purpose behind such dance. The common citizens felt that young men and women came together for little while, danced and dispersed. Had some malpractices taken place while the youth coming together and going on rampage, who would have been responsible? In foreign countries, persons who dance; get money and during such dance, there is a practice of participants taking out their clothes while dancing. Such devaluation is ill afforded in India. The organizers, who arranged such dance to oppose incidents like rape, in fact, did something, may be unknowingly, that would encourage such things.

Attempts should be made that would motivate people to think and do something !

Just a good thought or good concept is not enough but its presentation should also be done in appropriate manner. The collective dance might have drawn people’s attention; but its effect was momentary. Instead, programs that would motivate people to think or create awareness amongst youth or staging road-shows on the topic, would have been more effective. Considering the present condition of people, such discursive efforts, wasting time cannot be afforded from the perspective of the country. Undertaking such drives is like ‘looking at a robot filled with air’ and being satisfied of looking at a boxer’; therefore, youth should not undertake drives which are like bubbles but do something that will be effective. For that, join drives undertaken by organizations like Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Stop such unproductive protests  !

Nowadays, various types of registering protests are undertaken that are making people impotent; because immediately after terrorists attack, people come on the roads with candles in the night; such pandemonium was organized in Pune to protest against rape. Will such unproductive protests develop even little resistance power? Today, our country does not need dancers or those crying with lit candles; but there is need for fighters. Today, there is need for idealism of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the yearning for doing constructive work for the country. If every Hindu prepares self, Hindu nation will be established. In such Hindu Nation, there will be rulers like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who will eliminate terrorism and cut off hands and legs of rapists !
