Two thefts in one month at Sada temple opposite police station

Vasco (Goa) :  The Ganesh temple in Sada, Vasco, is situated opposite the Mormugao police station, but registered two cases of theft in one month.

The temple’s pujari who entered the premises early Tuesday morning noticed that the lock of the temple’s gate was broken. The Mormugao police said, “Three donation boxes were found broken and 1,500 was stolen.”

The incident occurred between 9.30pm of Monday and 6.30am of Tuesday. The police said, “There are two gates, one of which was unlocked and the other locked one, was forcibly opened.”

Another theft at the same temple was reported on December 3 where 20,000 was stolen. The Mormugao police have registered a case of theft.
