‘Patit Pavan Sanghatana’ also joins drive against crackers with Deities’ pictures

Pune (Maharashtra) : Sale of crackers with Deities’ pictures should be prevented and legal action should be taken against those selling such crackers. The above demand has been made on behalf of ‘Patit Pavan Sanghatana (PPS)’ through a representation submitted to Police Commissioner -Gulabrao Pol, Municipal Commissioner- Mahesh Pathak and Dy. District Collector Anil Pawar. Activists of PPS present on the occasion were Mr. Vikram Marathe, Rajabhau Patil, Shivajirao Chavan, Manoj Pawar, Dhananjay Kshirsagar, Guru Koli, Sanjay Sharma, Ambadas Parkhi etc.

Matter explained to cracker-sellers

These activists explained the topic to more than 75 vendors in Camp area; some of them said that they had already purchased the stock. Th activists, however, told them that they should not do things that would hurt religious sentiments of Hindus; else they would face police action. (The activists have pointed out the collective mistake to the cracker-sellers and tried to prevent them from committing a sin. Such efforts may bring slight changes in the mentality of people ! – Editor SP)
