‘Shudra – The Rising’ shows cancelled at Vaduj; movie flopped in Pune

October 20, 2012

Vaduj (Satara, Maharashtra) : The theatre-owners in Satara district have decided not to exhibit ‘Shudra-The Rising’, a Anti-Hindu movie, whereas in Pune, this movie was reported to have totally flopped.

An appeal on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti had been made to Mr. Sukumar Shaha, owner of Manish Chitramandir in Vaduj and Mr. Ambadas Bhandare, owner of Alankar theatre for not exhibiting in their theatres the movie ‘Shudra-The Rising’ which may prove dangerous to national integration due to scenes filmed in it against Hindu Dharma and the majority community. Responding to the appeal, both the owners informed Samiti that they would not exhibit this movie, instead would exhibit other movies in its place.

Mr. Ambadas Bhandare, owner of Alankar theatre informed the distributors of the movie that he does not want this movie. When, the distributor enquired about the reasons for not wanting the movie, Mr. Bhandare informed him about the appeal made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. The Distributor noted down the contact number of Samiti and informed Mr. Bhandare that he would contact Samiti. On this occasion, devout Hindus Mr. Ramesh Godse, Mr. Vinayak Thigale, Mr. Vinod Bhandare, Mr. Hansraj Patel, Mr. Ramchandra Nikam etc. were present.

‘Shudra-The Rising’ is an attack not only on Brahmans, but on Hindu Dharma ! – Pandit Vasantrao Gadgil

Pune (Maharashtra) : Brahman community has been despicably criticised in the movie ‘Shudra-The Rising’. The Brahman-haters are under the false impression that Brahman community remains silent in the face of any criticism. Hence, they are often made target of criticism.

Now, the time has come for all Brahmans to counter such criticism boldly like Sage Parashuram. The efforts of atheists and tyrants individuals, who do not adhere to Dharma, should be struck down. Enough of tolerance, we must stop this nonsense by adopting strong posture. This movie is not an attack only on Brahman community but on Hindu Dharma. Pandit Vasantrao Gadgil of Sharadapitham has expressed his ire against this movie in above words.

‘Akhil Bharatiya Brahman Mahasngh’ will fight by lawful means !

‘Akhil Bharatiya Brahman Mahasngh’ will give fight against this Brahman hating movie by lawful means. A memorandum will be submitted to people’s representative and owners of movie theatres. This information was given by Mr. Govind Kulkarni of Chairman of the Mahasangh.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti strongly oppose anti-Hindu movie ‘Shudra -The Rising’

October 16, 2012

Memorandum submitted to Film Censor Board, Home Minister, and Police Director General

Mumbai : The movie ‘Shudra -The Rising’, directed by Mr. Sanjiv Jayaswal has been produced against Shudra and high caste Hindus. This movie causes enmity between different casts and is harmful to national integration. When the world is journeying towards modern life style by discarding all casteism, a contemptible attempt has been made to push the society in a chasm by impressing upon their mind such incidents, which find no place or relevance in the history. This movie is an attempt to unnecessarily hurt the feelings of people. Therefore, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has decided to voice strong opposition to this movie. A memorandum to the effect that the movie should be banned before its release has been submitted by the Samiti today to The Film Censor Board, the Home Minister, and The Police Director General.

The memorandum which has been submitted by Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti for Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad districts includes following points :

  1. Gita cites that ‘I have created the four castes – based on Guna (qualities) and karma (work)’. This means that the caste system is not crated as per birth, but as per karma. Even then, the scriptures have been denigrated by connecting the Varna ‘Shudra’ with cast and filming fanciful inflammatory incidents.
  2. When the national integration is of utmost important in view of constant terrorist activities taking place in the country, the Hindus are very upset over the filming of such inflammatory, obscene, and violent incidents in the history.
  3. As per the provisions of Film Censor Board such movies should be banned at the primary stage itself.
  4. If the grant of certification of this movie is continued, the Hindus should also be permitted to exhibit the movies related to destruction of Hindu temples, sale of Hindu women as serfs, terrorist activities, and exploitation of women. Similarly, permission should also be granted for exhibition of the movie ‘Innocence of Muslims’ as a historic legend.

Conspiracy to destroy Hindu Dharma ! – National Orator Dr. Sachchidanand Shevade

To display the incidents, which did not take place will result in wrong convention. It will be an insult to Hindu Dharma. It will send wrong signals to society that Hindu Dharma is cruel, Deities of Hindu are barbarian; this will result in denigration of Hindu Dharma. An English novel ‘Asur’ has been published in which Ravan is projected as an ideal person. This is nothing but a conspiracy to destroy Hindu Dharma by displaying such a perversity in a Hindu majority country of independent Hindustan. This matter does not relate to any cast, but it is material for entire Hindu Dharma.
