Bangalore : HJS members stop Denigration of Shri Lakshmi Devi by Radio City !

Bangalore : The Radio City FM Radio Channel in it’s advertisement for the film Godfather was denigrating  Shri Lakhsmi as Ticket Lakhsmi etc. and thereby hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. To stop this denigration, HJS activists and other devout Hindus talked to the Programming Director Ms. Radhika on 25 July 2012 and conveyed that "Giving messages like Gajalakshmi has gone to the gym,  Santanalakshmi is in a five year plan, Ticket Laksmi will give 100 free tickets of God father movie has hurt the Religious sentiments of the devotees of  Shri Lakshmi. Moreover the Radio channel has caused insult to the deity. Such acts also cause disrespect to the deity among children. "

Due to these reasons, Hindu activists requested the channel to stop airing the advertising at the earliest and also gave a protest letter to the Radio City Channel . After going through the appeal letter, Radio City Channel justified their action and told that it was not intentional, this was just an advertise for a cinema. The names are just that of some children and that the Radio Channel has never used any Deities name .

HJS activist Mr. Moger countered as to whether the channel would use names such as Ticket Jesus, Ticket Mohamed in an identical advertising. The channel staff then accepted their mistake and promised to convey the feelings of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti members to the higher officers of the Radio channel and sort out the mistakes.
  Mr. Chandra Moger warned that future course of action would have to be taken if the advertises are not withdrawn at the earliest. Mr. Raghavendra, Mr. Kiran from HJS,  Hindu Sanghatan member Mr. Vinayak Aradhya and Mrs. Pushpa from Sanatan Sanstha were present during the discussion with Radio City Channel.

Next day on 26 July 2012, when Mr. Chandra Moger called the Radio City Channel, the Programming Director Said we have already removed the Advertisement which has hurt  Sentiments of Hindus.
