Village Sarpanchs join hands with HJS to oppose anti-Hindu Acts

Nagpur: A letter demanding annulment of the proposed Acts for eradication of blind faith and take-over of management of temples was given to the Chief Minister of the State on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sarpanch of 16 villages so also to the Chairman of Legislative Council Shri. Shivajirao Deshmukh and Shri. Pandurang Fundkar, leader of the Opposition on behalf of HJS.

Under the pretext of eradication of blind faith, the proposed Act actually will eradicate faith towards Gods and religion. Therefore, there is opposition to the above Act from people from all walks of life. Besides, the State Government is also trying to have control over all temples, religious trusts and institutions under the excuse of malpractices and irregularities in managing the temples under the proposed Act. Temples are places of worship and faith for Hindus and they have played a pivotal role in protection of religion in the past history of thousands of years. Therefore, there is a demand to withdraw both the proposed Acts by various Sects, saints, religious leaders, HJS and many religious institutions.
