Gadag (Karnataka): On 15th March 2011, Gadag Branch of ‘Mandir and Dharmik Mahasangh’ was inaugurated at Sri Amba Bhavani Devi Mandir at Betagiri in Gadag District. The program was held at 6.00 p.m. Pujya Neelamma Mata from Gadag lighted the lamp and inaugurated the Sign-board of the ‘Mahasangh’.

Mr. Mohan Gauda of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) reminded the devout members of audience of various attacks carried out on the places of worship of Hindus during the regime of Mughals till now by different Governments. Mr. Ramanand Gauda, the Coordinator of ‘Mahasangha’ for Karnataka State said while analysing the causes of such attacks that Hindus were not imparted ‘Dharmashikshan’; therefore, they were not following ‘Dharmacharan’; besides there was no love and respect among Hindus towards their Dharma. Pujya Neelamma Mata bestowed blessings. She said that the condition of Hindus would surely deteriorate if their temples were destroyed. Considering the dangers faced by Hindu Dharma, there was need for one common platform to fight for Hindu Dharma and the ‘Mahasangha’ would fulfill that need. She also assured that the ‘Mahasangha’ would always have her support and support of devout Hindus.

About 100 devout Hindus including many eminent personalities attended the program. Mr. Venkataraman Nayak welcomed the audience and gave introductory speech and Mr. Arvind Kamat offered vote of thanks. Miss Arpita compered the program.
