Sub: Information about painter Mr.M. F. Husain.
Sir,
That Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is an NGO engaged in nation building, educating people, about Dharma and Dharmacharan (religion & righteousness), awaking and uniting Hindus peacefully and through legal means. Kindly visit our website www.hindujagruti.org for further details.
That it is a fact that one Mr. Maqbool Fida Husain has depicted a lot of Hindu Gods and deities nude in his paintings. That at the same time his paintings related to Muslim and other religions do not depict any nudity in respect of the respective persons, Gods and goddesses.
That in his paintings this person shows our Hindu gods and goddesses in vulgar compromising positions which is never encountered in Hindu mythology. For example in one of his paintings he shows mother and goddess Sita totally naked masturbating on the long tail of God Hanuman. Whereas Hindu mythology contemplates a very pious relationship of mother and son between goddess Sita and God Hanuman ;in another painting she is sitting naked on the thigh of naked Ravana. Imagine a bull copulating with mother godess Parvati and God Shanker watching the act on Shivratri festival. Or Godess Durga in union with her lion ! Lord Krishna with hands and feet chopped off ! (Copy of some paintings enclosed for ready reference)
A comparison of his paintings on Hindu mythology and religion and other religion leads to the inevitable conclusion that the Hindu nude paintings appear to be with the sole objective to hurt Hindu religious sentiments and insult the Hindu religion and provoke communal tensions in this country. Thus he is doing his business by drawing poronographical paintings of Hindu Gods and Godesses.
That Maqbool Fida Husain is booked under different Sections of the Indian Penal Code at different police stations all over India and in some cases has obtained Bail and in some cases he is declared as absconding ( Enclosed copies of press news and also please refer our website www.hindujaruti.org for protest/campaigns ).
That the above cases are mostly related with hurting the religious sentiments of the Hindus as well as endangering religious harmony.
That as per News Papers reporting the above said absconding Accused is presently located in United Kingdom and frequently flies to the UAE. (Enclosed copies of press news )
That it is pertinent to note that our consulate in UK and UAE are very much aware as to his location in these countries but, till date our counterpart in that country has failed and neglected to initiate necessary legal proceedings against above said absconding Accused because of which he is freely operating from these foreign lands and is promoting his activities of sowing communal tensions amongst Hindus and other religions and provoking, instigating and insulting the Hindus.
It was the duty of your agencies to initiate action against this absconding Accused, in which they have failed miserably. Now we hereby inform you about his location and activities and thus request your good office to initiate necessary legal action against M. F. Husain with immediate effect by which justice can be secured in the pending cases. In the event of failure on your part to act, we shall be constrained to approach the appropriate forum for justice.
Awaiting for your prompt action and reply.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
S.G.Vatkar

Hindu deities denigrated in a play glorifying M F Husain
Mumbai: A complaint has been lodged by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) with Marine Lines police station against a play based on the life of anti-Hindu and anti-National painter M F Husain. A play titled ‘Pencil se brush tak’ produced by an organization called ‘Ekjut’ is based on the life-story of Husain. The play was seen by a member of HJS when he observed that there was denigration of Hindu deities in the said play.
Objectionable scenes from drama
-
In the beginning of the play, the screen in the background of stage shows picture of Sree Krushna in nude, playing flute riding a cow and he is surrounded by nude ‘gopis’
-
In an incident based on ‘Ram-leela’, role of Seeta was played by Sumit Irani. He was shown addressing Sree Rama as Swami in a very sardonic manner.
-
Lord Hanuman is also shown, with his head cut, tail burning and almost in nude, disgraceful manner.
-
The actor Anup Soni enacting the character of Husain is shown clandestinely watching few women bathing in river. During this scene, the above mentioned back screen was prominently displayed.
-
The purpose of staging this play seems to be to rub salt into the wounds of Hindus, glorify Husain and hurt religious sentiments of thousands of Hindus.
-
At the end of the play, Nadira Babbar, the director of the play declared that the shows of this play will go on despite opposition from some people.
