Hindu will give apt answer if temples are taken over ! – Sambhajirao Bhokare, Dy. District Chief, Shiv Sena
Kolhapur : Everyone is targeting only Hindus these days. Money offered with lot of faith by devotees is being misused. Temples are being taken over for the money collected by them. In fact, the Government should undertake renovation of temples. If it is only going to take over temples, Hindus will give apt reply in future. The above warning was given by Shri. Sambhajirao Bhokare, Dy. District-Chief of Shiv Sena while addressing demonstrations staged on 22nd July near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, under the aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan (RHA)’ to oppose Government’s taking over Shri Shanaishchar Mandir. More than 40 ‘Hindutvavadis’ participated in the demonstrations.
Shri. Sambhaji Bhokare said, “The Government is keeping mum on the topic of construction of Shriram Mandir. Are we going to construct it in Pakistan? Hindu refugees coming from Pakistan are living in dire conditions but the Government has no time to pay attention to them; but it is taking over temples quite speedily.”
Shri. Nandkumar Ghorpade of ‘Hindu Mahasabha’; Shri. Balasaheb Nigavekar, representing ‘Kumbhar’ community; Shri. Uday Bhosale, Shiv Sena’s dy. city-Chief; Shri. 1. Passersby, citizens waiting for bus at bus-stand and shopkeepers from nearby shops were listening to speeches with total attention. Few citizens spontaneously joined the demonstrations. There appeared to be fury amongst citizens towards Government for taking over management of temples.
2. It was very cloudy before start of demonstrations but it didn’t rain till demonstrations got over. It, however, started raining as soon as demonstrations were concluded; to show as if ‘Varunraja’ also extended support to demonstrations.
Today’s demonstrations were live telecast on Facebook and reached 20,000 people. More than 170 people even shared them and 45 persons gave comments on them.
