Leaders of the minority community have termed the move as un-Islamic and equated it with idol-worship, which is prohibited in Islam. They also issued a fatwa in this regard on Tuesday which was also ratified by the Shahar Qazi, Sayyed Mushtaq Ali Nadvi.

Green Tee-shirts with picture of Pakistan’s flags were being sold in a shop near bus-stand. Patriotic youth raised objection to such sale. They brought it to the notice of the shopkeeper Salim that it was an offence to sell flags of other countries without taking proper permission.

Muslims were distributing meat illegally at ‘Darul- ulum’ near Shiroli Bridge under the guise of making offerings. This was observed by activists of Bajarang Dal and Sree Shiva-pratishthan and they opposed and stopped distribution of meat. Mumbai: Muslims illegally transported hundreds of cows, bulls and calves in Mumbai, like every year, on the occasion of ‘Bakr Id’. Bajarang Dal activists were successful in rescuing 550 animals from Muslims in Mumbai.

Jalgaon (Maharashtra): A Muslim entered a stable and tried to steal a calf in one village. As local pro-Hindu activists came to know about the incident, they gave good beating to the Muslim and handed him over to police.

Parbhani (Maharashtra): A minor Hindu girl was lured by a Muslim named Sheikh Kausar and he tried to lock the girl in a hotel room.

Phalatan (Dist. Satara, Maharashtra): A butcher named Qureshi had tied down a cow with her leg and horn. This was observed by a local devout woman and a patriot and they released the cow from the clutches of the butcher.
