Hindu Temple Opened in Kashmir After 18 Yrs!

Srinagar: A temple of Kashmiri Hindus was thrown open after 18 years at Habba-Kadal in downtown Srinagar today.

Known as Kathleshwar temple, it was thrown open on the occasion of appearance day of Shri Krishana Chatanya Maha Phrubu, the founder of Bhakti Movement.

Scores of Kashmiri Hindus participated in the opening ceremony of the temple and performed special prayers. They were joined by Kashmiri Muslims.

It is pertinent to mention here that after the improvement in the situation in Kashmir, scores of Hindu temples that were closed after the eruption of militancy in Kashmir, have been re-opened and Kashmiri Hindus are performing prayers there.
