Silver Mask stolen from Saint Tukaram temple !

Pune (Maharashtra): Silver mask was stolen from ‘Jagatguru Saint Tukaram Maharaj Shila’ temple early in the morning.
      
Everyday at night, all valuables from the temple, are removed and are kept in a safe place. Shri. Hari Dattatreya More, the priest of the temple, went to the temple early in the morning as usual. He dressed the idol of saint Tukaram including the silver mask. After performing ‘mahapuja’ in the temple, he went to the adjacent temple of Lord Vitthal –Rakhumai for performing ‘puja’ there that took about 10-15 minutes. On his return to ‘Shila’ temple, he noticed that the silver mask weighing about 1 -1.25 kg was missing. It may be noted that there were 3 policemen on duty. (What is the use of such policemen? – Editor). The villagers observed total ‘bandh’ after this incident. Sreekshetra Dehu Devasthan, trustees and villagers have protested against the incident and complaint has been lodged with Dehu Road police station.
