Beed (Maharashtra) : Demonstrations were held against anti-Hindu proposed Act for eradication of superstitions, in front of District Collector’s office. Presence of Saints and Mahants was the speciality of this agitation. A warning was given to the Government that Saints, Mahants and religious leaders would take to the roads to strongly protest against the proposed Act as it will attack Hindu Dharma and impose ban on their ‘Dharmacharan’, if passed. National keertankar Bharatbuva Ramadasi, Mahant Amrutdas Joshi Maharaj, H. B. P. Mengade Maharaj, the President of Warakari Mandal, Marathwada, ‘Vedashastra-sampanna’ Dhundiram Shastri Patangankar Maharaj, H. B. P. Eknath Pujari Maharaj, Shri. Shrutiparayandasji Prabhu of Radha-Govind Temple, Jyotishacharya Shri. Santosh Mule, Mr. Anildada Jagatap, the district-chief of Shiv Sena, Mr. Chandrakant Fad, Mr. Galadhar were the dignitaries who addressed the participants in the agitation.
