Pro-Hindu organizations unite to oppose encroachment drive against temples !

Appeal for ‘Nashik Bandh’ today !

Nashik :  ‘Hindutvavadis’ have accused that Municipal Corporation has undertaken anti-encroachment drive targeting only Hindus’ temples. Notices have been served to 15 religious places stating them to be unauthorized which are causing obstruction to traffic. ‘Hindutvavadi’ organizations have, therefore, given a call for ‘Nashik Bandh’ on 8th November. A meeting was held at Panchmukhi Hanuman Mandir, Vinay Nagar in this connection by pro-Hindu organizations. It was attended by about 150 devout Hindus including Sadhu-Mahant, local MLAs, municipal councilors, representatives of festival committees and members of VHP and Bajarang Dal etc.

It was decided in the meeting to demand re-examination of the issue and setting up of action committee because despite electing pro-Hindu Government, only Hindus’ temples were demolished and no action was taken against mosques.

In a meeting held on 6th November at Municipal Corporation’s head office, elected representatives of all parties had raised objection to erroneous surveys and follow up action taken on them. During the meeting, the Mayor orderedadministration to re-conduct survey with the help of local municipal councilors. Delegation of elected representatives then met District Collector and acting-Commissioner B. Radhakrushnan in this regard; submitting a representation to him.
