Demand ban on crackers with pictures of deities

Baramati: A review meeting of devout Hindus was held in the background of FACT’s photo-exhibition recently organized in the city. It was decided in the said meeting to submit a representation to the District Collector against crackers with pictures of deities and great national leaders like Subhashchandra Bose etc. It was also decided to visit shops selling crackers and educate buyers and shopkeepers in the matter. A well-known doctor in the city has displayed pictures of deities on the walls of his clinic with a notice of ‘ Do not spit’. Devout Hindus also planned to make the doctor aware about denigration of deities in such manner. The meeting was attended by many devout Hindus from even Malegaon, Burhanpur, Sutarwasti etc. Shri. Bhintade, a devout Hindu offered to print handbills on the topic of agitation against crackers with pictures of deities.
