Proud Hindu protests defamation of Hindu deity by naukri.com

By Staff Reporter

Johnston: An advertisement by www.naukri.com has used the name ‘Hari Sadu’ and deformed ‘Hari’ with bad words. The advertisement shows a person spelling out the name ‘H-A-R-I’ on the phone as: ‘H’ for Hitler, ‘A’ for Arrogant, ‘R’ for Rascal, ‘I’ for Idiot.

A proud Hindu from the US, Smt. Mrunal S. Nanivadekar noticed this. She immediately sent her protest letter to naukri.com explaining to them as to how it was defamatory and requested them to withdraw this advertisement and tender an apology from them.

See below her protest letter.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I have been watching this advertisement where you have used the name ‘Hari Sadu’ and deformed ‘Hari’ with bad words to show that how your job site pours confidence in people who otherwise are submissive by giving them jobs.

You might be aware of the fact that in Hindu religion the name ‘Hari’ is one of the  many names of ‘Lord Sree Vishnu’ and is taken with lot of faith and respect. You have hurt the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus all over the world by deforming it with bad words . Would you have dared to deform the name say for example ‘Mohamed Khan’ or ‘Mary Fernandez’? No. You dared to do this insult of Hindu God because Hindus are passive.

I strongly protest against this heinous act of yours of using bad words to describe the letters in the name of our Hindu God and ask you to withdraw this advertise from media and apologise publicly to all the Hindus for hurting our religious feelings.

Waiting for your public apology and withdrawal of the advertisement,

First and foremost a Hindu,
Mrs. Mrunal S. Nanivadekar

(Congratulations to Smt. Mrunal S. Nanivadekar for being alert in noticing this denigration and lodging her protest promptly. If more Hindus take such lead then no one would dare to ridicule Hindu Dharma. – Editor)
