Bangalore: Spokespersons for the HJS Shri Arvind Baliga and Shrimati Sudha Sadanand paid obeisance to Jagadguru Shri Shankaracharya Swami Jayendra Saraswati of the Kanchi Kamakoti Pith at Bangalore where He had come to attend the function held to commemorate 114th `avtar din’ of Mahaswamiji. When speaking to them the Shankaracharya praised the HJS for its work and blessed its Ramsetu campaign.
The HJS members narrated to him how they will hold a demonstration against the Karnataka government on 9th June in front of the town hall for attempting to use the land on Kodachadri hill used by the Adishankaracharya to practice austerities, for mining. The Shankaracharya encouraged the HJS to spread this message to as many people as possible and praised the Samiti for its great work. His devotees also expressed the desire to participate in the agitation to save the Ramsetu.
