Sri. P. Subbarao – ‘95% of people in Rajamundry have been converted to Christianity. The Hindus there must work unitedly.

Sri. Dhanmudi Venkataram stressed that each Hindu should provide religious education to each and every Hindu and prepare them.

Sri. Ramachari said that temples are the source of our spiritual wealth. He also said, ‘I will take out a procession of one lakh people and give a letter bearing one crore signatures to the Chief Minister of Andhra.’ He also expressed the idea that we should distribute books with information on our temples.

Sri. Pandita Gopiraju Venkateshwaralu said that Hindus have a lot of spiritual emotion regarding their temples. Hence, holy places should not be made into tourist spots. The Tirupati ropeway work which is in progress, should be stopped. The practice of reciting Vedas and mantras should be started again in all temples.

Sri Sri 1008 Sri Ramanuj ji Swami said that now, all Hindus should take to the streets for action and this is the need of the hour.

Sri. R. V. Subbarao, official of the Endowment Department, gave the typical assurances like any other government official, and said that Hindus should not get involved in the spread of religion; they should be tolerant and practice the tenets of religion. Only spreading religion is a waste. Every Hindu should speak the truth and following dharma, they should respect other good people. Giving this dose to only the Hindus, he said that shortly 4000 temples will be chosen for rejuvenation, out of which 2000 temples will be rejuvenated by the Government. The Government will also provide aid of One Lakh Rupees for building of new temples. There is no issue regarding the seven hills, all of which are and will always remain the property of the TTD temples.

Highlights:

  • 20 seekers of Sanatan Sanstha were present on this occasion attired in their aprons and caps; these attracted everyone’s attention.
  •  when Sanatan’s seeker Kum. Deepali Govekar questioned the Endowment Department official, why the Government is aiming for control of only Hindu temples and not the places of worship of other religions, he avoided giving a reply. She also asked him other questions on the points mentioned in his speech. Seeing this, other Hindus too gathered there. The official then asked her to meet him in his office.
  • At the end of the meeting, many Hindus came forward to get information on Sanatan Sanstha and requested for a joint meeting.
