Hindu Janajagruti Samiti lodges strong protest with Cars24; demands immediate withdrawal of the promotional ad
Mumbai – Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has raised strong objections to Cars24 denigrating Bhagwan Shri Ganesh in its promotional campaign on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The use of Lord Ganesha as a marketing gimmick by @cars24india has deeply hurt Hindu sentiments. Commercialising a revered deity for advertising is unacceptable. @cars24india must take down this campaign immediately and issue an unconditional apology.

In its social media campaign titled “Bappa Ki Sawari”, Cars24 depicted an image of Bhagwan Shri Ganesh sitting in the driver’s seat of a car. HJS strongly objects to this act of commercialising a deeply revered deity for marketing purposes, which hurts Hindu religious sentiments. HJS demands that Cars24 immediately take down the controversial campaign and issue an unconditional public apology.
Companies should demonstrate sensitivity and respect religious sentiments when using symbols associated with religious faith for commercial promotion.
The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) appeals to all devout Hindus to register their protest against this denigration of Bhagwan Shri Ganesh and demand the immediate removal of this advertisement by Cars24.
