Thane ( Maharashtra) : Activists of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) carried out a movement outside the Thane Railway yesterday evening demanding that political parties participating in the Lok Sabha elections include their demands in the party election manifestos if they rely on the votes of Hindus.

In an official release the HJS-Thane unit stated, ‘our demand is that, in order to garner Hindu votes, political parties should also include demands by Hindus in their election manifestos.’

The release stated that, even though the Hindu community is in the majority, even minor demands of Hindus concerning the interests of the nation are neglected. And therefore, the HJS wants to create public awareness among Hindus this time.

‘A warning has been made evident, that political parties will have to include demands by Hindus concerning the interests of the nation in their election manifestos in order to garner Hindu votes,’the release said.

It further stated that, the main demands include an Act to ban cow-slaughter throughout the country, that a Ram temple be built in Ayodhya, and Ramsetu be declared as a National monument, that anti-Hindu Acts like Communal and Targeted Violence etc. be scrapped, and that temple take-overs be stopped, and temples taken over by the Government should be liberated and handed over to devotees, that conversions be legally prohibited, and those who convert by using temptation should be stringently punished, and that work to purify all polluted rivers including Ganga be taken in hand.

‘When candidates of your party pay door to door visits in Hindu localities, they will be asked whether your manifesto includes the above demands. Similarly, Hindu National Movement will create public awareness that only the political party or its candidate, who have included above demands of Hindus in their manifesto should be elected,’ it informed.

Unlike the earlier elections the HJS ine this election has become demanding and will put political parties in a tight spot, the turnout for yesterday’s movement was evident, it added.
