AP Govt to take over 4 lakh acres of land of 24,632 temples in the state!

Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) – The YSR party’s Government in Andhra Pradesh has identified four lakh acres of land belonging to 24,632 temples of Hindus in the State for the purpose of taking them over for management. The value of the total land is more than Rs One lakh crore. There is a wrangle over taking control of the lands, going on for a long time.

1. Kottu Satyanarayana, Endowments Minister of Andhra claimed that the Government wanted to protect the temples and their properties and the above action was a part of that plan. The software has already been prepared earlier for safely storing the information on temples’ lands.

2. The lands of temples, presently identified, will be cleared of all disputes. Discussions were held about the controversial land issue of ‘Sri Durga Malleswara Swamyvarla Devasthanam’ in Vijayawada and the issue will be sorted out soon.

3. A meeting was held with all charity commissioners from 26 Districts to discuss the protection of temple lands, wherein relevant instructions were issued for the protection of temple lands.

Editorial view

Not a single church or mosque has so far, been taken over by any Government in this country, but the different Governments have taken over thousands of temples of Hindus and used their money for any purpose. Now, it is possible to take over even the temples’ lands and use them as per their wish. Such a situation makes the establishment of Hindu Rashtra, unavoidable !
