USA Hindus strongly protest MFH

By HJS team, USA

New York: Anti-Hindu painter M.F. Hussain’s paintings were displayed for sale at an exhibition held by Christies and Sotheby’s at New York on the 21st and the 22nd March respectively. Voluntary members of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti in USA created awareness about this exhibition. Devout Hindus from in and around New York strongly protested against this and spread the word to their contacts through phone and email. Shri. Satya Nemana send protest letters.  Another proud Hindu Shri. Dinesh Pai forward HJS mails amongst his relatives and Hindu organizations.

To
Christie’s and Sotheby’s:

Please stop exhibiting/selling the M.F.Hussain’s indecent, abusive and disrespectful paintings at your exhibition centers with references as cited below. We, on behalf of the whole Hindu community, completely agree with the email contents below and strongly protest against any action taken in favor of exhibiting this kind of paintings. These paintings are hurting our religious sentiments as a Hindu community living all over the world. As explained in email below they have been withdrawn in the past followed up with apology letters for exhibiting such offensive paintings of M.S.Hussain.

-Satya

Efforts taken by  Shri. Dinesh Pai to protest the exhibition in his own words.

Namaste,

Wish you and your family a very Happy Gudi Padwa and a Prosperous New Year. I have forwarded your mail to as many as I could including the HSS-NY and VHP of America. My spouse and I will be calling the Christie’s to register our protest. Hope this campaign is as successful as the one in London in 06.

Regards,
Dinesh
