HJS’ protested against desecration of idols

Nagpur: Recently idols of Goddess Sree Durga and Sree Lakshmi-Narayan were found damaged in a temple in Gadchiroli. To protest against this incident, many Hindu organizations along with Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held demonstrations at Nagpur, Amaravati and Wardha in Vidarbha. At Nagpur, many Sampradayas also joined HJS in demonstrations and a representation was given to the District Collector for sending it to the Chief Minister.

It was demanded that miscreants responsible for the damage should be immediately caught and strict action should be taken against them. Leaders of many organizations speaking on the occasion condemned the act. In the last week, idol of Lord Hanuman was also desecrated in a village named Armori near Gadchiroli. Both the incidents have been strongly condemned by all Hindu organizations and Sampradayas and it is demanded that culprits should be booked and severely punished to prevent such incidents in future.
