HJS submits representation to Modi against ‘Communal Violence Bill’

HJS members meet  Narendra Modi during his ‘Sadbhavana’ program

Navsari (Gujarat): Delegation of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) met Mr. Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister of Gujarat and extended good wishes for his ‘Sadbhavana’ program being held all over the State. He was also given representation to oppose the proposed ‘Communal Violence Bill’.

A letter requesting him to grant permission for displaying boards on ‘Dharmashikshan’ at temples and other public places in Gujarat was also submitted to him besides requesting  to take ‘Sanskar’ notebooks awakening patriotism and ‘Sanatan almanac’. Mr. Modi promised the delegation that he would think about the matter and take necessary action. Mr. Modi was presented greetings on the occasion of Diwali by HJS congratulating him for his ‘Sadbhavana’ program.  A copy of monthly issue of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ in Gujarati in which an article has been published on Mr. Modi, some sacrament from Ashram and a file containing information on activities of HJS was presented to him on the occasion. Mr. Shivaji Vatkar, the district coordinator of HJS for Mumbai, Mr. Santosh Alashi, ‘Prasar-sevak’ of Gujarat, Mr. Chandrashekhar Kadrekar  from Karnavati (Ahmedabad) and Mr. Kantilal Parmar and Suresh Rajput, members from Navsari were also present.  Mr. Ashok Dhohrajia, the district-chief of BJP from Navsari had extended invitation to HJS for this visit.

If we follow the principle of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (world is a family)’, terrorism will be eradicated ! –  Narendra Modi 

Mr. Narendra Modi said in his address, “The overall progress of Gujarat State is the outcome of unity among 6 crores of Gujaratis and their working with one mind. ‘The concept of ‘Sadbhavna’ is quite old.  ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is the tradition followed by Indians since thousands of years. If the same culture is adopted by the whole world, grave problems like terrorism can be solved and there will be happiness, prosperity and peace everywhere like in Gujarat.”

  • 8500 people had joined hunger strike in ‘Sadbhavana’ program held at Navsari.
  • Many State ministers, MPs, Party chiefs, Saints, various Sects and representatives of different religions were present.
  • Big exhibition was put up at the venue showing development and achievements of Gujarat
