Temple damaged and idol desecrated in Sri Lanka !

Hindus, who are in minority in neighboring countries of India, are constantly persecuted; but India, where Hindus are in majority, has never opposed to such injustice nor have Hindus’ organizations pressurized these countries; which is quite shameful for Hindus !

Colambo – It was observed in early morning of 2nd November that the temple of Shri Arulmiku Siddhivinayak Temple at Muthaliyarkulam in Niladhari area of Sri Lanka where Hindus are in majority, was damaged and the idol was uprooted and thrown outside.

There are 330 Hindu families in Muthaliyarkulam where 1156 Hindus are staying. Other than Hindus, in 121 other houses, there are 465 Christians and 92 Muslims are staying in 28 houses. Non-Hindus are always harassing Hindus. There are many temples of Hindus here; one of them is Shri Arulmiku Siddhivinayak Mandir. Several conversions have taken place in this village in which only Hindus have been converted. A case of love jihad has also been reported here. Hindus, therefore, feel that either Non-Hindus were responsible for the above act.

Sri Lanka is a country where majority population follows Buddhism. As per the Constitution of this country, Buddhists are given preference over others; however, followers of other religions have religious freedom. Even then, only Hindus fall prey to Buddhists’ rage.
