Issue related to PMDS scam to be taken up during monsoon session : Rajesh Kshirsagar, MLA

MLA Rajesh Kshirsagar

Kolhapur : Monsoon session of State Legislative Assembly will be started from 24th July. Shri. Rajesh Kshirsagar, Shiv Sena’s MLA held a press conference in this connection on 23rd July wherein he said that Government’s attention would be drawn to various issues under 80 starred questions and 10 special ‘lakshyavedhi’ such as appointment of Government’s priest at Sri Mahalakshmi Mandir in city as in Pandharpur, Shirdi and Tuljapur etc; scam by Pashchim Maharashtra Devasthan Samiti; looting of people through sale of petrol-diesel; circuit bench, pending water-pipe scheme and malpractices; openly held gambling business; Zoom project, Shivaji Bridge etc.

Shri. Rajesh Kshirsagar said further that

1. ‘Devasthana Vyvasthapan Samiti ’ outside Sri Mahalashmi Temple and ‘Sripujaks’ in sanctum sanctorum of the temple are looting people. Till today, not a single ‘Sripujak’ has brought a ‘pedha’ from me as ‘prasad’ from this temple; then what must be the case with common man ?

2. After appointment of ‘Sripujaks’ on salary, they wouldn’t face any problems because they have accumulated lot of money so far.

3. Special investigation squad (SIT) has been appointed for conduting inquiry into the scam of Devasthana Samiti; but investigations are not yet complete though SIT claimed to complete investigations in 6 months. Condition of Tulajapur Devasthan is similar; therefore, Government’s attention would be drawn towards this issue.

4. I have presented the above stand despite maintaining all rights of ‘Sripujaks’; but I am not against casteism. I am trying to bring forth the truth.

5. The donations, in billions, are collected by the temple but no facilities are given to devotees. If Devasthana’s land of 33000 acres is given on rent, it will fetch millions of rupees.
