Panaji (Goa): Eight hostile pictures of Sree Ganesha by Anti-Hindu artist M. F. Husain and anti religious artist Subodh Kerkar’s “Shri Ganesh hostile manual art piece” were removed from the exhibition at Ruchika’s Art Gallery, Miramar. Still there are some pictures in hostile form of Shri Ganesha remained in this exhibition. Hindu Janjagruti Samiti has requested the planners of the exhibition to remove those from it.

During the very holy period of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival, defamatory pictures and manual art piece of Sree Ganesha have been displayed in the exhibition which has hurt the religious feelings of Hindus. This has been complained by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at Panaji police station. By this complaint and the pressure due to religious citizens, police have removed anti-Hindu M. F. Husain’s pictures and Dr. Kerkar’s manual art.

There were three police for security of the exhibition. Yesterday morning Samiti members explained to the management staff during their visit to the Ruchika’s Art gallery, how hostility happens about Sree Ganesha. The staff was appraised of the information. They have also agreed to remove remaining pictures after discussion with the owner. “Ruchika Art Gallery’ has started exhibition of paintings, sculptures of Sree Ganesh. The exhibition contains many denigratory paintings and sculptures of Sree Ganesh, which includes defamatory Ashtavinayak paintings by Anti-Hindu painter M F Husain and defamatory sculptures by Anti-Hindu Dr. Subodh Kerkar. It is duty of all Hindus to protest lawfully against ‘Ruchika Art Gallery’ so that they should remove defamatory paintings and sculptures of Sree Ganesh from the exhibition. They should also apologise to all Hindus for hurting their religious sentiments.

Panaji (Goa): An exhibition of the defamatory paintings made by Anti-Hindu painter M.F. Husain who bears anti-Hindu feelings, and sculptures made by religion traitorous sculptor Dr. Subodh Kerkar of Sree Ganesh have been exhibited in Ruchika Art Gallery in Kampal at Panaji. It is exhibited as a part of a competition ‘ashtavinayak jay ho,100 visions of Ganesha’ of paintings and sculptures. It is displaying the paintings and sculptures made by the painters and sculptors of Sree Ganesha. The sculptures are made by using stones, mud, wood while the paintings depicts the deity in various forms. It has started from 25th August and will last till 9th September. (O Hindus, stop them who are intensionally playing with your religious sentiments by exhibiting your god Sree Ganesha in such a grave manner during the days of Chaturthi ! Don’t just get engrossed in worshiping, reciting Aartis ; but try to stop those who is insulting your own god; Sree ganesha will definitely shower His blessings on you for this! Exhibition displays more than 100 pictures and sculptures of various shapes based on Sree Ganesha . Eight pictures under the title ‘ashtavinayak’ of Hindu hater M.F. Husain have been displayed in the exhibition. Sree Ganesha has been pictured as sleeping on bull, sleeping on elephant, sitting on a horse with saffron flag, bathing, passing on a boat; in such a defamatory manner. Religion traitorous Dr. Subodh Kerkar has made a defamatory sculpture from Fibre glass which shows Sree Ganesha’s face placed on mouse. Some pictures in the exhibition costs upto Rs. 1 lakh 70 thousand.
