Maharashtra Govt. more concerned about Mughals than Sambhaji Maharaj

Matter regarding no book published by the Government on Sambhaji Raje; but ample books on Mughal invaders in Govt. book storehouse

Mumbai: The Government book storehouse has come out with hundreds of books so far; but there is not a single book on Sambhaji Raje; whereas several books are published on Mughal invaders like Aurangzeb, Shahjehan, Akbar and Muslims. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has expressed extreme displeasure over the same. Mr. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of HJS for Maharashtra and Gujarat States said, “Maharashtra State is known for its tradition of great Saints and valour shown by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The present secular Government, however, seems to have Aurangzeb as its ideal. The perverted western historians have written wrong history about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Raje depicting him as a villain. Indian history researchers conducted research for a number of years to stop such defamation of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and brought forth his true brave history before the people. The present Government is, however, trying to suppress the true history of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and give more importance to Mughal invaders which is very bad.”

Mr. Shinde said further, “This Government is very honest in suppressing brave true history of Hindus as it is more concerned about the feelings of minorities. The Government at the Centre is using pages after pages on Mughal invaders through text books and is omitting history related to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Maharana Pratap whereas the State Government has prohibited even the display of picture showing Afzal Khan’s slaying."

He further said, "Moreover, the Government had planned to convert the place Tulapur where there is a memorial of Sambhaji Maharaj, into a garbage dumping ground for Pune city. This issue was uncovered by ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ and it is quite terrible. HJS will definitely try to bring together all pro-Hindus and make available the history of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj to the citizens in the Government book store. We warn the Government that it should not try our patience. It should note that Hindus have not yet forgotten the history of the valiant history of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. "
