₹60 Crore Sant Balumama Temple scam: Suspect Ragini Khadke absconding

Kolhapur, Maharashtra – An alleged ₹60-crore scam has come to light at the Sant Balumama temple in Shrikshetra Admapur. In this case, an FIR has been registered against three persons, including the then Charity Inspector of the Devasthan, Ragini Khadke, on charges of embezzlement of ₹55 lakh.

As soon as the case was registered, Ragini Khadke absconded. The investigation has now been handed over to the Economic Offences Wing (EOW). The investigation team visited the temple and collected information from current and former trustees.

Inspector Rajendra Gadkari of the Charity Commissioner’s office has lodged a complaint at Bhudargad police station. The complaint alleges that the then Charity Inspector Ragini Khadke, concerned trustees, traders, contractors and some middlemen, in mutual collusion, cheated the Devasthan and the devotees.
