Hindus demand to allow ‘Puja’ in ancient Bhojshala (MP)

Allow Hindus to perform ‘puja’ in ancient Saraswati temple at Dhar (Madhya Pradesh) : Representation submitted by HJS and Hindu Mahasabha to local administration at Ujjain

It is shameful for rulers that such demand has to be made in a country where Hindus are in majority !

Ujjain : Hindus are allowed to perform ‘puja’ at the ancient Shri Saraswati Mandir at Dhar (Madhya Pradesh) only on the day of Vasant Panchami (this year, it is on 1st February). Permission for ‘puja’ only once in a year is a deterrent for Hindus against their religious rights. BJP Government ruling at the Centre as well as in this State should allow Hindus to perform ‘puja’ at this temple throughout the year, was the demand made through a representation submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Hindu Mahasabha on 30th January to Tehasildar Mamata Patel. More than 25 devout Hindus viz. Shri. Arvind Jain, Shri. Kailas Sharma of ‘Hindu Shaurya Jagaran Abhiyan’; Shri. Manish Chauhan, regional spokesperson of ‘Hindu Mahasabha’, its Dy. Regional President Shri. Nandkishore Patidar; ‘Dabang Hindu Sena’s national President Lokesh Sharma, its national Vice President Shri. Raj Vir; Shri. Anand Jakhotia, Shri. Manoj Patel, Shri. Sagar Singh Bakhtaria of HJS etc were present on the occasion.

It has been stated in the representation that the Government should get back the original idol of Shri Saraswati Devi from London and consecrate the same in Bhojshala. Cases filed against Saints- Mahants and activists of pro-Hindu organizations staging agitation for their just demand to perform ‘puja’ in this temple should be withdrawn.

A group of medical students who had gone there to submit representation related to their issues, joined the group of ‘Hindutvavadis’ when they heard the subject of representation.

Highlights : Everyone was spontaneously raising slogans to convey their sentiments that Bhojshala belonged to Hindus.
