MNS Thane District Chief Avinash Jadhav expresses outrage
Mumbai – Following the visarjan rituals of Shri Ganesh murtis here, several murtis (idols) were found discarded in a broken and utterly deplorable condition on a landfill site. Fragmented remains of numerous murtis were seen strewn about haphazardly. Avinash Jadhav, the Thane District Chief of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), expressed profound outrage over the incident.

After visiting the site to inspect the condition of the murtis, he said: “Those who enjoy power in the name of Hindutva and run the municipal corporation are solely interested in issuing tenders. If Shri Ganesh, whom we revere as our supreme Deity, is subjected to such a state, are Hindus truly in danger? Do not donate your Shri Ganesh murtis, because this is precisely the pathetic fate that awaits donated murtis. Why are those who constantly raise their voices against dhol-tasha and DJs silent now? If you do not raise your voice against this desecration, then you are truly fast asleep.”
- Urging devotees to donate Ganesh murtis in the name of environmental protection, only to discard the sacred murtis in garbage dumps, is a blatant administrative betrayal!
- Hindus must stand united and demand strict action against those responsible for such intolerable insult to our revered Deity.
