Pimpri-Chinchwad : Despite repeated instructions given by the High Court for removal of illegal loudspeakers fixed on mosques, police and administration are not following its orders. Owing to politics of appeasement, the administration which is eager to demolish unauthorized temples, is conveniently overlooking illegal loudspeakers fitted over mosques. All pro-Hindu organizations from the city have therefore, come together to take up the issue of illegal loudspeakers and have resolved to free Pimpri-Chinchwad of such loudspeakers.

1. A meeting was held by members of local pro-Hindu organizations in Shri Hanuman Temple at Pimprigaon on 7th December. Shri. Kunal Sathe, the President of ‘Akhil Pimpri-Chinchwad Shivajayanti Mahotsav’, Shri. Tushar Patil and Shri. Atul Kadam of ‘Shiva-vandana’; Shri. Vivek Gadgil from Dehu Road; Shri. Parag Gokhale of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and other devout Hindus were present on the occasion. It was decided to submit representations for removal of loudspeakers fitted in unauthorized manner over mosques and create awareness amongst people through meetings.

2. On 9th December, ‘Hindutvavadis’ arranged a meeting at Kalewadi taking inspiration from meeting held at Pimpri which was attended by more than 30 devout Hindus.

3. On 10th December, a representation was submitted to Police Inspector (PI) Shridhar Jadhav at Wakad police station. He promised to take action against unauthorized loudspeakers irrespective of any kind of pressurization. He also advised ‘Hindutvavadis’ not to break any law. More than 35 devout Hindus were present on the occasion. (In fact, there was no need for citizens to take up such issue but owing to the double-standards of police and administration; citizens have to undertake such drives. Police are expected to take prompt action instead of just giving promises ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Listen to hooters for 2 minutes – Weird advice given by a police officer

A ‘Hindutvavadi’ narrated his experience in the meeting held at Pimpri. He said, “I had gone to police for lodging complaint against unauthorized loudspeakers fitted over mosques when the policemen present there said why can’t you listen to hooters for 2 minutes ?” (Will these police giving such advice to people, instead of taking action on High Court’s orders, be able to maintain law and order ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

‘Hindutvavadis’ united against illegal loudspeakers at Ambegaon

Similar representation was submitted even at Peth (Manchar) against unauthorized loudspeakers to PI Sunil Godase. He too promised to take necessary action. Umesh Kandhare, President of Bajarang Dal from Satgaon Pathar (Peth) and its activists viz. Shri. Sandesh Kale, Shri. Akshay Bhalerao and Shri. Jitendra Kambale took initiative in submitting the representation. The representation was submitted by Shri. Suhas Bankhele, the President of Bajarang Dal for Ambegaon Taluka; Shri.
