The charge sheet filed by National Investigating Agency proves innocence of Sanatan Sanstha ! – Mr. Veerendra Marathe

Ponda (Goa): A discussion program was held on the ‘Prudent’ News channel through its ‘Jago re’ program, in connection with the charge sheet filed by the National Investigating Agency (NIA). Mr. Veerendra Marathe, the trustee of Sanatan Sanstha, Mr. Ramesh Gavas, the State-award winning teacher and Advocate Cleofat Cutinho were invited for discussions. The editor of the news channel, Mr. Sandesh Prabhudesai, performed the role of a commentator. Mr. Marathe said, “So far, Sanatan Sanstha was pleading innocence in Margao bomb blast case and it has been proved right by the charge sheet filed by NIA. The special inquiry group of the State and National Investigating Agency raided the whole ashram of Sanatan. They confiscated few papers and computer hard discs. We extended full cooperation to both the agencies. Sanatan’s activities are transparent. As such, the charge sheet does not say anything against Sanatan which proves our innocence.”

Ramesh Gavas said that the investigating agencies carried out search in the Ashram after about 8 months during which the evidence could have been destroyed. (The police had reached the ashram within half an hour followed with the special investigating team formed by the State Government of Goa and and the local police were continuously, for 8 days, interrogating the seekers and confiscated all required papers. The NIA also conducted in depth inquiry into the ashram and seekers. Making such allegations despite the above is exhibiting one’s ignorance ! – Editor SP)

Mr. Gavas also said that some foreigners were staying in the Ashram without proper VISA. (The intellectuals are in the habit of making vicious allegations and Gavas is an example of the same. Nobody has ever stayed in Sanatan’s ashram without holding proper passport / VISA. Only intellectuals like Gavas who are suffereing from the malady of Sanatan –hatred i.e. Hindu hatred see every Sanatan activitiy as bad. What will such intellectuals do for the welfare of the society? – Editor SP) Both the points were refuted by Mr. Marathe, by explaining the facts.

Advocate Cutinho said, “There is no proof of Sanatan’s involvement in the blast. It is very difficult to impose a ban on any organization. These organizations also have certain limitations. If some member of any organization is taking part in illegal activities, action can be taken against the organization under ‘Prevention of illegal activities Act’. But such action can be taken by the Central Government.”
The host of the program, Mr. Prabhudesai raised questions like ‘Have Sanatan’s teachings failed as its seekers were involved in Margao bomb blast, when all accused are Sanatan seekers, isn’t the organization also guilty, if you were against ‘Narakasur’ and the blast occurred when ‘Narakasur’ competitions were going on, why is not the organization owning responsibility?’ etc. and tried to accuse Sanatan Sanstha. (Despite innocence of Sanatan Sanstha proved by the NIA, journalists have such biased views on Sanatan, how can such journalists practice impartial journalism? – Editor SP)
