Vizag (Andhra pradesh): A protest meet was held to condemn the attempts to tarnish the image of Hindu Saints, Spiritual Organisations and denigration of Draupadi in the novel Draupadi written by the Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad.

HJS spokesperson Mr. Chetan Janardhan addressed the public and mentioned that Draupadi, a novel written in telugu by Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad has created uproars in Andhra Pradesh. He has not only showed Draupadi, Pandavas and Sree Krushna in poor light but even introduced illicit amorous relationship between Draupadi and Sree Krushna which has hurt the feelings of billions of the Hindus worldwide. He told that there are many more unspeakable and unmentionable events like these in this novel. He demanded that this novel to be banned and Cental Sahitya Academy award to be taken back and the writer should be punished as per law.

He further said that there is a systematic effort to spoil the image of Hindu Saints like H.H. Dr.Athavale, H.H. Assaram Bapu and H.H. Ramdev Baba. Swami Laxmananand sarswati was brutally killed in Orissa and Hindus are killed by bomb blasts and are converted by threats etc., were happened. Now another Spiritual Organisation, Sanatan Sanstha is being targeted and attacked by Anti Hindus. He mentioned as to how the Goa Government was bent on banning Sanatan Sanstha under the guise of the Margao Blast incident and also goa police filed chapter case against the Sanatan Sanstha’s H.H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale who has not stepped out of his room for the past two and half years.He has written more than 150 books on spirituality which will provide guidence to the society for comming thousands of years.

H.H. Asharam Bapu ashram in Gujrat was attacked and damaged and his disciples were beaten up. A case of attempt to Murder has been filed on Saint Asharam Bapu. In recent times the trend is growing stronger to show the Hindu Spiritual Leaders in poor light by implicating them in false cases, he added. The Hindu Society should join together and face the threat, he concluded.

7. Mr. N.V. Sayaraju – Organiser, Vijaya Sai Yoga Chariteble Trust and treasurer for Bharatiya Vikas Parishad.
