‘When is action going to be taken against loudspeakers on mosques ?’

Mumbai : Israel Government took a firm decision of removing loudspeakers from mosques. When is our Government going to take such decision ? This question has been asked by Shri. Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena Chief through the editorial written in daily newspaper ‘Dainik Saamnaa’.

The points made by Shri. Uddhav Thackeray

1. Not only India but many countries are suffering because of the loudspeakers of mosques. Such aggrieved countries are trying to find some solution to this problem but no firm attempts are made in India for removal of loudspeakers from mosques at the Government level.

2. Kolkata High Court had passed an order 20 years ago to remove loudspeakers from all religious places which is still not been implemented.

3. Along with Jews and Christians from Israel, even few Muslims had also opposed to loudspeakers on mosques. Thousands of complaints have been lodged and pending for past many years in India against loudspeakers on mosques. Israel, however, did no such thing.

4. Considering the past history of Israel, it is quite sure that the decision would be stringently implemented. Also, nobody would start crying about their sentiments getting hurt or ‘Islam is in danger’ etc like Muslims in this country do but it will not happen in Israel because such is the awe created by Israel Government.

5. Prime Minister Netanyahu of Israel has boldly told Muslims in that country that the decision to remove loudspeakers would in no way create any problem for freedom to follow their religion.
