Even though a seeker of Sanatan Sanstha got beaten, the newspapers published a false report that was exactly opposite of what happened !

After printing a defaming article, the anti-democratic newspaper “The Times of India” refused to give the Sanstha a chance to even put forth its own opinion!

Nashik (Maharashtra): During the Ganeshotsav festival, Sanatan Santha and Hindu Janjagruti Samiti organised talks on the topic “According to spirituality, one must do visarjan of Ganapati idols in flowing water” for followers of Lord Ganapati.

On Anantchaturdashi a similar talk was held at Goda Park on Gangapur road. At this time, a photographer proclaimed himself to be a reporter and beat up the seekers and protested against the visarjan. On top of this disgrace, “The Times of India” published a false report titled “A Seeker of Sanatan Sanstha beat a (alleged) reporter” and thus defamed the Sanstha. (By printing a false report, “The Times of India” has defended a reporter, who is a thug and a goon, whilst defaming Sanatan Sanstha. The Sanstha is taking the advice of legal counsel for this incident. – Editor, SP) Even though Sanatan Sanstha has written a letter to clarify the matter, it has not been printed in the Times. Hindu Janjagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha organise the Ganesh Janjagruti Movement every year. It was only for this reason that the seekers of Sanatan Sanstha and a few workers of Hindu Janjagruti Samiti went to Goda Park, Gangapur road on the occasion of Anantchaturdashi. They told the assembled people to “Perform the ritual of visarjan in flowing water.” At the same time there was one group promoting “Eco – friendly” Ganapati and another group was of students belonging to “Rachana” school promoting the concept of “Instead of performing visarjan of Ganapati idols, donate them”.

At this point, a local photographer named “Ankush” proclaimed himself to be a reporter and started asking aggressive questions to the workers of the Samiti and started opposing the people who were doing visarjan. When the seekers ignored him and continued to talk to people about doing the visarjan in the correct manner, this alleged reporter got angry and pushed the seeker of Sanatan Sanstha, Mr. Rahul Patil to the ground and beat him. He also charged at a seeker who came to the rescue of Mr. Patil. The English newspaper, “The Times of India” has published an article completely that is biased against the Ganeshotsav Movement of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Sanatan Sanstha in its Nashik edition. Contrary to what actually happened, a picture of Mr. Rahul Patil defending himself against the onslaught of the reporter has been distorted with the caption “He is beating the reporter”.
