Complaint by JIRC to Chief Justice of India for injustice by Mumbai HC

Issue of injustice in giving a sentence to Sub Inspector of police, Kadam for gunfire at Ramabai Ambedkarnagar!

Mumbai: Injustice was done while giving a sentence to Sub Inspector of police, Kadam by the judge of the Fast-track Court, Shivdi. Injustice was also caused to Judicial Injustice Redresser Committee of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) by Mumbai High Court when an appeal was made about Shri Kadam’s case. Shri. Shivaji Vatkar, coordinator of Judicial Injustice Redresser Committee, HJS has registered a complaint to the Chief Justice of India, Shri. K.G. Balkrushnan on 2nd of July against both the injustices.

HJS has mentioned in the complaint that since the copy of the order of the life imprisonment given to Shri Kadam was not given in time, Kadam’s bail application was not heard in time. So Judicial Injustice Redresser Committee had appealed to the Chief Justice of Mumbai High Court on 20th May. In that appeal a request was made that the judge of Shivdi Fast Track court should be asked for the explanation for the delay. A letter was sent on 5th June by Mumbai High Court saying, ‘You may seek relief before appropriate forum by appropriate proceedings’.

So I am expressing my grief getting such reply, in a letter to Chief Justice of India. It is also mentioned in the letter that instead of protecting the basic right of the accused the Judge has done injustice to him. Mumbai High Court is accountable for keeping a check on the Judge of Shivdi Fast Track Court and so Mumbai High Court was expected to deliver a judgment. Not getting proper reply from the Mumbai High Court, I had to approach the Chief Justice of India. It was not expected from the highest officer in the State. I hope that Chief Justice of India would relieve the people from such pitiable condition.
