Sanatan’s seekers pressurised during the interrogation by ATS

What the reason behind these repeated enquiries?

We have provided total co-operation to enquiries initiated by the Home Ministry till date. The ATS has been provided with written information about the Sanstha, its trusts, its trustees and its working pattern. Inspite of this, what is the police achieving out of repeated enquiries of Sanatan? They are causing trouble by conducting repeated enquiries on the same issue. What conclusion should one derive in this regard? Is there a lack of co-ordination between the police and the ATS or is this a ploy to ‘entangle’ Sanatan by hook or by crook! This act of conducting enquiries on the day of Diwali and creating pressure is akin to inflicting unwarranted mental torture on seekers. Seekers are fed up with the same.

In the past, the PWD Minister Shri Chagan Bhujbal had suspended police officers with immediate effect for conducting a mere enquiry of his ‘Samata Parishad’. We do not expect that any police official be suspended for the above said trouble caused to Sanatan; but we request the Chief Minister and the Home Minister to at least take note of this and look into the matter, said Shri. Abhay Vartak, the spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha.

Mumbai: The ATS and the police have been conducting rigorous enquiries of Sanatan Sanstha and seekers of Sanatan from the past few months. To add to the misery, the Shiv police tried to pressurize two seekers of Sanatan and did inspection of their houses without any prior permission and notice. (Sanatan is known for its nationalist and pious thoughts and behavior. Police are now harassing seekers but they don’t have courage to enquire about the terrorists and anti national elements.) The concerned seeker was to travel to his native place for Diwali; but he could not inform the police and felt compelled to keep mum due to their pressure tactics. (Why police want to stop seekers from celebrating their rituals by this superfluous interrogation. Police can dare to do such unrighteous things only because Hindus are very tolerant. We can see police thinking about festive occasion of other religions but why they conveniently ignore things when it comes to Hindu sentiments.-Editor)

Police said that we just wanted to enquire about the office and the work you people are doing. Shri Ravindra Kadam of Shiv Police Station and Crime Investigation Department (CID) police investigated about policies, modus operandi, and principles of Sanatan. (Weird working of Home Ministry. Shree Lokhande did the same kind of enquiry in January 2008 and also Shri Kadam of Shiv Police station did it ones again in the month of June. Do these police take the case file with them after their transfer? Or police just want to harass seekers on the festive occasions – Editor).

Without taking any permission from the seeker police started checking out Sanatan’s literature, notice board and the matter on the photos in the Dhyanmandir (Meditation Room). They also took contact number of local seeker and ‘Sanatan Prabhat’s’ paper with them. They also asked whether Sadhvi Padnya Thakur is anyhow related to Sanatan. (This congress lead government is now behind Sanatan without any reason. If anything happens, the government purposely will try pulling Sanatan in it. – Editor)

Don’t tell anything to your superiors

At this time, while leaving, the police advised the said seekers ‘Do not inform your superiors about this enquiry. They report it to their higher-ups in an exaggerated manner and the police get into trouble. This has happened in the case of the ‘Samata Parishad’ enquiry also!’ (If police are doing fair job, then what are they frightened about? And if police are worried even after the fair work they are doing, then how can we believe that police department is working impartially – Editor) They also didn’t forget not to tell anything to the superiors regarding this.
