E TV Karnataka supports vulgarity and Sunny Leone, host opposes HJS drive

Bengaluru : On ‘E TV’, a Kannada news channel, discussions were conducted on recent demands made for imposition of ban on Sunny Leone’s channel and her ouster from this country. Open support was given to obscenity during the discussion program but Shri. Guruprasad, State Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), Karnataka firmly opposed obscenity and demanded that Leone should be driven out of this country. Shri. Guruprasad and actress Bhumika participated in this discussion program. The program-host Ramakant also expressed views against our culture. Given below is a gist of the program.

Program-host Ramakant said, “How can you decide what is indecent ? (If majority of people feel something is indecent and only the program-conductor does not think so, it shows the purpose of holding discussion program ! He should note that few cases have already been filed against her for spreading obscenity. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Isn’t there a Censor Board ? Were you not fighting against Censor Board earlier ? Tell them to issue ‘A’ certificate to such films. (If any organization is fighting against indecency, all should extend support as it is their duty towards society; but TV channels are considering it their duty to prove HJS wrong. How can such channels create awareness amongst people ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Are you against Sunny Leone ? There could be a section of society which watches indecent films but it does not mean that all are like them. (Even if a very small section of society watches indecent films; they are instrumental in spreading obscenity amongst society and it is the social duty of every person to oppose the same. It is very unfortunate that media, supposed to be creating such awareness, has to be explained these things. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Sunny Leone has been patronized by Puja Bhatt who is also a woman. I have never heard about your fighting against obscenity. (HJS has undertaken drive against obscenity since few weeks under which it has also held press conferences at different places, submitted representations, staged demonstrations etc for creating awareness amongst people; but had the channel moved away from its policy of Hindu-hatred, such statement exhibiting ignorance would not have been made by them. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Leone should be driven out as she is bad influence on youth ! – Shri. Guruprasad

Shri. Guruprasad said, “HJS’ fight is against obscenity. The main purpose of film is to create awareness amongst society; however, due to actresses like Sunny Leone, youth is getting drawn towards lewdness; so she should be sent out of this country.”

Ridiculous statement of actress Bhumika : ‘Sunny Leone will also make good films in future !’

Actress Bhumika said, “Sunny Leone used to act in porn films. She has come up till here now. It will take some time for her to adjust to Indian culture. (Instead of advocating for Sunny Leone who has been spreading obscenity, it would have been more appropriate for Indian actors to be loyal to own society and take Sunny Leone to task ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) She too will make good films in future and will wear even sari. (Indian artists showing naive optimism ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) but we need to give her some time. Tomorrow, if we go abroad, we will not be able to change their culture. Nowadays, people like vulgar films so there is crowd for such films. Nobody wants to see films on mother- daughter relations. (Is it creditable for us ? What is done by Bhumika to stop such social decline ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Viewers are allowed to call during the program and express their opinion. Many viewers called up the channel and asked for imposition of ban on Sunny Leone’s web site.
