HJS’s ‘Devbhoomi Nepal Sahayata Abhiyan’ volunteers felicitated

Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) undertook a drive named as ‘Devbhoomi Nepal Sahayata Abhiyan’ to help in rescue operations in quake –stricken Nepal. HJS team worked in Nepal for 10 days and returned on 17th May 2015 to Sanatan’s ‘seva-kendra’ in Varanasi. All volunteers from the team were given certificates appreciating their work, by Shri. Manish Pande, regional Vice-President of ‘Hindu Yuva Vahini’ and Shri. Ambarish Singh, its Varanasi-zone Chief.

Shri. Pande and Shri. Singh praised and congratulated whole team comprising of 19 members who had come from different parts of India like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Assam, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Jharkhand. They narrated their experiences while participating in the rescue operation in Nepal. The program was compeered by Sou. Shreya Prabhu. HJS also thanked the volunteers for participating in its drive even when the condition was so adverse and constant tremors were felt even later. Shri. Arjun Sampath, the President of ‘Hindu Makkal Kachhi (Hindu Janata Party)’ was in Varanasi and he too appreciated the service rendered by volunteers.

Volunteers extended help by overcoming obstacles !

1. Engagement of son of Shri. Gopal Sonar, one of the volunteers was fixed on May 22; but instead of making preparations for the function, he gave priority to ‘seva’.

2. Despite changing weather, changes in food provided to them, in their place of lodging and constant changing plans, volunteers gave preference to ‘seva’ and all of them could experience joy out of rendering service.

3. Sou. Preeti Joshi who has two small children and 63 years old Sou. Shailaja Sane participated in the rescue work.
