Don’t watch Sunny Leon’s website if you find it indecent : Police Commissioner

*HJS drive against obscenity

*Infuriating statement of Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner Prasad evading to register case against actress Sunny Leone for spreading obscenity !

Does it mean that police feel there is nothing wrong in spreading indecency through medium of websites ?

deport_sunnyNavi Mumbai : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), along with other pro-Hindu organizations have started a movement against indecency; under which a complaint was lodged with Cyber Crime Department of Navi Mumbai police against actress Sunny Leone who has been spreading obscenity. A delegation of HJS comprising of Dr. Uday Dhuri, spokesperson of HJS for Mumbai, Shri. Vinayak Sanas, the complainant, Sou. Giramkar and other members of HJS met Navi Mumbai Police Commissioner (CP) K. L. Prasad in this context. CP Prasad said that people should not watch Sunny Leone’s website if they found it obscene. (Will such arrogant police officers solve problems of citizens or maintain law and order ? Lodge complaint of such officers to their seniors ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Delegation members brought to his notice that ‘it was a serious offence under law to post such kind of pictures; so what was the problem in taking action ? Such websites create wrong impressions on children’s mind’. He was also explained how HJS has been fighting against obscenity shown through serials even on TV channels and now they were approaching police as it was duty of police to maintain society in proper order’; requesting CP to register a case. CP Prasad said that

  1. Sunny Leone has posted her videos/ pictures on her own website; therefore, registration of complaint for hurting others’ religious sentiments was not possible. (Where is the question of religion in this matter ? It is a social problem. When somebody makes some indecent gestures by removing own clothes, will police not stop that person? With such kind of insensitive Police Commissioners, spread of obscenity is quite natural. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
  2. Why do you see her website ? In Court also, they say that one should not see a website if one did not want. (What are police trying to do by repeating Court’s arguments? If police register case, it will put curb on such wrong things ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
  3. Parents should take the responsibility of their children. Our children have good values; therefore, despite internet facility available on their phones, they are falling prey to such indecent things.
  4. See the kind of clothes today’s children wear. (Police can put a curb on even this if they want; but police do not want to shoulder their responsibilities; therefore, they give such excuses ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
  5. First stop obscenity from our films; she is an actress from other country. (If citizens are supposed to stop obscenity from films, why should we provide for police department by paying taxes ? Does the CP mean that we should tolerate obscenity just because the involved actress is a foreigner ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
  6. Our leaders are not able to solve problems like lack of toilets for women; so do not try to pass on this responsibility to us. (If police feel that bringing duties to their notice is a burden, such police should resign and sit at home enjoying their pension ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
  7. China has taken stringent action against such websites and our Central Government should also follow them. (Instead of what is own duty, police are more interested in telling what is duty of others ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
  8. A case cannot be filed; but I will convey your sentiments to the Government.
