Denigration of Sun God in Second Std. text book

Pachal (Maharastra) : There is denigration of the Sun God in the text book of second standard set by Maharashtra State Textbooks Production and Curriculum Research Committee. (How long are Hindus going to tolerate mockery of their objects of worship? They should take the concerned persons from the Committee to task and discharge their duty towards Dharma; otherwise God will not forgive them. – Editor) On pages 48 and 49 of this book, in the chapter on ‘Kaal-Maapan (Time Measurement), Sun God has been ridiculed. On page 48 of the book, names of Gregarian months whereas on page 49, months of Indian Solar year have been given. On both these pages, picture of Sun has been shown near the 4 months of summer. In this picture, the Sun God is shown wearing goggles and having cold drink to fight the heat. (Would the State Textbooks manufacturing Committee dare to play with the religious sentiments of followers of other religions by publishing such ridiculed pictures of their objects of worship? Then just think that why the Committee dared to do it only in case of Hindu deities – Editor)
