Display of Banners at Marine Lines glorifying Hussain!

October 20, 2007

Mumbai (Maharashtra): Shri. Nana Chudasama, the President of organization called ‘I Love Mumbai’ has put up a banner above hotel ‘Pizzeria and Pasta Bar’ in Marine Lines welcoming and glorifying anti-Hindu painter M F Hussain. (There are more than 1250 complaints registered against Hussain for drawing nude and obscene pictures of Hindu deities and Bharatmata. Those who are involved in welcoming and glorifying Hussain are equally at fault as anti-national Hussain. Hindus must take such offenders to task – Editor)

It is written on the banner as “Let Wisdom dawn and let us welcome our nation’s pride M F Hussain.” (How can a person who has denigrated Mother India be a ‘Pride of our Nation? Does he mean by saying “Let wisdom dawn” that all those who are opposing anti-Hindu and anti-national Hussain are not right? Such persons who have no respect for their nation should be taught a lesson –Editor).

Shri. Ishwarchandra Khandelwal, President of ‘Lashkar-e- Hind’ has strongly objected to such welcome and has written a letter to Shri. Chudasama conveying his feelings to him on the issue. He has also sent a copy of the letter to Marine Drive police station. (Congratulations to Shri. Khandelwal for protesting against those who are eager to welcome Hussain – Editor).

In an English evening newspaper ‘Mid-day’, comments by Shri. Chudasama have been published as ‘Indian citizen is secular and therefore, we should welcome 93 years old M F Hussain. Representative of ‘Hindu Parishad’ has objected to this banner which is not according to principles of democracy. (What is one’s age has got to do with secularism? Why Shri. Chudasama expects Indians to treat Hussain as a secular person? Would Shri Chdasama dare to talk in this manner has Hussain drawn such denigrating pictures related to Islam? – Editor).
