Nagar Parishad removes Ganesh idols from artificial pond !

Ambarnath (Maharashtra) : The Daily Sanatan Prabhat had published news about how gross denigration of Lord Ganapati was occurring by immersion of His idols in an artificial pond created outside the Shiva temple at Ambarnath and had expressed resentment towards the Nagar Parishad for this act. In response the
Parishad removed those idols from the pond. As the idols did not undergo dissolution in the pond and the Parishad did not bother to re-immerse them in deeper flowing waters they were scattered around and were being used by children of slum dwellers as toys, resulting in disrespect for Lord Ganapati. Even a fortnight after Anant Chaturdashi due to lack of water in the pond the idols had not undergone total disintegration. No sooner was this news published in the Daily Sanatan Prabhat than the administration decided to remove those idols from there. This task was accomplished by the new entrants to the Maharashtra armed forces. (Shame on the Ambarnath Nagar Parishad which despite knowing the fact that a Ganesh idol should be immersed in flowing water created an artificial pond for it and further allowed denigration of the deity.- Editor)
